How RunSnip works, from your first project to your own domain. The AI agent in the editor answers from these same pages.

Frequently asked
Is RunSnip free?
Yes. The Free plan is free for as long as you use it, with limits on how many projects, how much storage and how many shared pages. Pro raises those limits and adds the AI agent. /pricing compares the two.
Do I need to install anything?
No. The editor, the preview and the packages a project imports all run in the browser. Sign in and start a project from /code.
Can other people see my projects?
Not unless you share one. A project is private to your account; its preview opens only for you. Sharing a project publishes its page at its own address, built from your files — the source itself is not served. Turn sharing off and the address stops answering.
Can I take my project with me?
Yes. Every project can be downloaded as a zip from its settings, on every plan: a copy of your own work is never a paid feature.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on Pro. Point the domain at your project with a CNAME record — or a TXT record at the top of a domain — and it serves the shared page once the record is seen. The help article on sharing has the steps.
What can the AI agent do?
Describe what you want and it builds it: it reads your project's files, writes new ones, edits them when you ask for changes, and the preview updates as it works. It works on the project it was opened on and nothing else. It is part of Pro.
What happens to my projects if I leave Pro?
Nothing is deleted. Reaching a limit only stops more being added: every project, file and shared page you have stays, and you can keep working on them within the Free plan's limits.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Turn off automatic renewal in Account → Billing: Pro stays until the end of the period already paid for, and nothing more is charged. Refunds follow the Refund Policy at /refunds.

- What RunSnip isRunSnip is a playground for small web projects: a demo, a single page, one component — a snip, not an application. A project is written in the browser, runs in a live preview beside the editor, and can be shared at its own public address.
- Signing inSign in with Google or with GitHub. Before either button works, tick the box agreeing to the Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy and confirming the Privacy Policy has been read.
- Projects and filesStart a project from /code or with the + button at the bottom of the project list, choosing its type. The type is fixed once the project exists.
- The preview and its consoleThe preview beside the editor runs the project as it is being written, on a separate address so a page's code cannot reach the RunSnip account. It reloads as files change.
- Sharing a project and custom domainsSharing is a switch in the project's settings. On, the project is public at <code>.runsnip.net; off, that address stops answering. The shared page is the project as it is saved now, built on the server, with its source not served.
- Plans and limitsEvery account starts on Free. Pro raises the limits and adds the AI agent, the agents' debugging tools over MCP (check_project and get_preview_console), custom share addresses, your own domain, registry components, React Sandbox projects, syncing, and tokens that never expire.
- Billing, renewal and cancellingAccount → Billing shows the plan being paid for, when it renews, and every payment with its invoice to download.
- The AI agentThe AI agent is part of Pro. On /code, describe what to build: the project is created at once, its conversation opens in the sidebar in place of the project list, and the files appear as the agent writes them. The back arrow in the conversation's header returns to the project list.
